Pamela's painting of the White Buffalo Calf Woman beautifully presents and describes in gentel detail the legend of the woman who brought the sacred pipe to the native Americans and taught them the use of sage for healing. The legend says that a white buffalo will appear indicating the beginning of the Golden Age. As she leaves the tribes she is seen shape-shifting into a white buffalo.
